Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was very special this year because everyone got to meet a very special family member for the first time, my niece, Terrianna! :-) She is Justin's daughter and the back story of why we haven't seen her before now isn't important. What's important is that after seven years, she finally gets to be part of our lives and we are all so thrilled about this! You would think that it would be pretty overwhelming to meet your grandparents, great-grandma, aunts, uncles, and cousins for the first time, but Terrianna immediately took to everyone, like she's been here the whole time and it really felt like she had. You can already see a special bond between her and Justin, even after only having a few visits together. We're all excited to get to spend Christmas with her next (especially Tyler)!

Reunion BBQ

One of my BFF's from high school, Shannon, came in to town with her family from California. We rounded up our other girlfriends from high school and their families for a BBQ at the house. I was really looking forward to this since it had been over 3 years since we all hung out last and unfortunately, I got really sick right before everyone showed up, which means that I didn't get any pictures from our evening. :-( I'm still disappointed about this!! Well, I take that back, I got these first two pictures before I plopped in a chair like a slug for the rest of the evening. Boo! Hoping it won't be another 3 years before we can all hang out again!
