We had a GREAT first birthday party for Tyler! Our family and close friends came to celebrate with us (59 people and that includes 18 kiddos- WOW!) Good company, lots of good food, a yummy cake, a candy-filled pinata, a jump-o-lene, a sandbox that stole the show, balloons, presents... what else could be better?
A big thank you to everyone that came over! Tyler had a blast playing with his friends and getting so much attention at his party and of course, we had a great time visiting with everyone as well! We love you all!
Okay, grab a blanket and get comfy- here are a TON of highlight pictures.
Travis grilling 60 hamburgers that he made-
Here is the sandbox that Travis made- It turned out so much better than I had imagined. (Great job, hunny!) The first time Tyler played in it was at the party (well, it actually wasn't finished until this morning- haha) and he absolutely loved it! This thing was a kid magnet for everyone else as well! They all had so much fun playing in the sand. I'm sure Tyler will get hours of enjoyment out of this!
He already loves his new wheels that Grammy got him!
Jump-o-lene: another huge hit with ALL the kids (you can even see the big kids having fun with it- haha!). I'm so glad that I ended up getting this. After the party, I even got in it with Tyler while he jumped around!
Pinata! A last minute purchase that was absolutely worth it! It was so entertaining to watch all the kids take swings at this thing and then dive to the ground once it broke open. Even Tyler got in on the action. It was awesome! I think I'm going to have a pinata for all of my parties now! Loved it.. loved it! :-)
As I suspected, this cake didn't last long. We promised free entertainment of cake smashing and I think Tyler delivered beautifully.
We have such generous family and friends and they showered Tyler with some wonderful gifts. We have enough books to start a library, some great clothes to last through summer and some really cool new toys! Thanks again, everyone!
New wagon from Poppa. We haven't put it together yet, but that didn't stop Tyler from checking it out. I think it's safe to say he's going to like it. :-)

Even with only taking one 1 1/2 hour nap and having an exhausting day, Tyler was all smiles while getting ready for bed at 9:00pm.
