Tyler's 5th Birthday Party!

"Calling All Superheros" ... "Calling all Superheros" ... Tyler had a fantastic Superhero birthday bash at the house! We had originally planned to have a Transformers themed party (as in, I already had all of the decorations, plates/cups, party favors, etc.), but he changed his mind about a month before the party and begged to change it. What felt like a huge dilemma to him was an easy fix/exchange for me, so we switched it up and I'm so glad we did! Turning five is a big deal and I wanted the party to be exactly what he wanted and I had so much more fun planning for this party with him! There was no shortage of action going on at this shin-dig, let me tell you! The kids enjoyed getting their faces painted, jumping in the bounce house, playing on the fort and mini-roller coaster, smashing a pinata Superhero-style and getting a visit from Spider-man himself! Okay, maybe not the real Spider-man, but definitely a Superhero in Tyler's eyes, dressed in one awesome costume.... his Poppa! He definitely gets the 'Grandpa of the Year' award! It was such a special treat and an amazing/fun memory that we'll never forget! All of the kids had such a great time and so many parents commented on what a fun party it was! Total success!! A special thanks to everyone that made this another memorable event for us!

And now we're ready for some fun!

Captain Tyler and his crew~

Supergirl~

Fun backdrop I made~

Captain Tyler (America) getting his face painted like Iron Man. Silly kid~

For the first time in 5 years, I opted to sit back and enjoy watching all of the kids hit the pinata instead of taking 50 additional pictures. Kinley decided to sit back as well and I love this picture that I got of her and her baby watching the fun. :-)

The star that stole the show! Spider-man! He really got the kids wound up by shooting them with his silly string spider-web. :-)

Happy Birthday to YOU~

Now doesn't this look like the face of a kid who is having an AWESOME time??!!?!

Some early summer fun~

Our weather can't make up it's mind what it's going to do! We already got to enjoy a very warm day playing in the sprinkler and eating popsicles outside!

Let's play ball!!

Tyler is now a little t-ball player! He was very persistent about being ready to try a sport and we said we would wait until he was ready, so here we are! Added bonus- he's on the same team as one of his best buds, Trace. The 2 x/week practices for four weeks prior to this first game were pretty hit and miss. Some days he was eager to go and not-so-much on the other days (we had to miss one practice because I accidentally cut his toenail too short and he couldn't wear shoes (ha)), so we'll see how the season goes. I was very impressed with his first game. I mean, it's t-ball... he didn't score any home runs, but he DID run to the correct bases, unlike some other little ones, and he hustled after the ball every time. Go Astros!!! Go #6!!!

**(This is actually a late publish- this first game was on March 19th)**

First time hitting the ball!

Heading in from 3rd base~

High fives from Grandpa Bill, Grandma Dale and Andrea!

Astros cheerleader! Go Bubba!

Playing 2nd base~

Realizing his other best bud, Jacob (from the opposing team), was on 2nd base. :-)

Bluebonnets or lack of....

Okay, so I purposefully chose a field that had the least amount of bluebonnets possible this year. Bluebonnets are really overrated. Right? Right! ;-)
