Randy's house- Completed and Sold

After 5 months, we finally got Randy's house completed and SOLD! What a whirlwind of events! It took us twice as long as anticipated to complete this project, but I am so in love with how it all turned out. And when I think about the past five months, I'm SO proud of us! Travis worked full-time, I worked part-time, I was still homeroom mom for the kids at school and did the entire yearbook, we managed to still do all the birthday parties, social events and school events, Tyler had a busy baseball schedule, the girls both had afternoon dance classes, Kinley took a weekly gymnastics class, we enjoyed all the hustle and bustle of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas festivities, we did the massive rental house repairs, and spent as much time as possible in Port Aransas to get that house up and ready as well. I'm not one to usually toot my horn, but it is pretty incredible when I reflect. We have been working non-stop for five months. After our busy day schedules, we would go next door and work. Travis would end his work day and come home to a list of honey-dos from me. There were many nights that I would finish work-work, put the kids to bed and go back to work on Randy's house until midnight or after. Travis' parents even pitched in with some backyard clean-up. Brooklyn would lay on a cozy pallet and watch a movie on her iPad and Tyler and Kinley would do small chores. We have all spent more hours than I can count there and it has finally paid off!

I took all of these pictures with my phone and sent them to Cullen so that he could get started on putting the listing together. They aren't good pictures at all and don't do the house justice. We knew the market was slower in the winter months and figured we had time to finish up a few things and planned to update the pictures with professional ones, but never got there. The listing went live on Sunday afternoon, 1/6 for 320k. To our surprise, we had someone come view the house within a couple of hours of it being listed. We were outside putting mulch down and new light fixtures at the garage. HaHa. There was a lot of traffic after that. We had our first offer come in the next day. By Wednesday, 1/9, we had FOUR offers over asking price and accepted one for $21,000 over asking price!!! All in three days. Talk about crazy! We close on the house on Feb 7th and then we can breathe a little bit!

Leaving all of the keys for the new owners and my last time in the house. So bitter sweet!
