Yesterday was mine and Travis' FIVE year anniversary and we were able to sneak out of the house for a nice dinner and *quiet* conversation while my mom watched Tyler. It almost feels like a different lifetime ago that we got married and yet I still remember it like it was yesterday. I was 25 and Travis was 29. We were just babies! Such fun memories! I'm hoping the next five years are as equally great as these past five!
Now~
And then~ (I can't get over how young we look! Travis will kill me for pointing this out, but look at how much more hair he had then!)
Tyler and I went to the Exotic Zoo in Johnson City yesterday. We were supposed to go here last weekend, but some how we ended up at Wonder World instead. Travis was gone hunting so it was a perfect excuse for us to get out and enjoy the day. Most of the animals roam freely on the property, so you don't know exactly what you will get to see on the tour, but we got a pretty good show and Tyler was so excited to feed and touch all of the animals. It was very interactive and so much fun... definitely better than Wonder World AND I left with no blisters or near panic attacks. HaHa!
We took a short drive down to San Marcos this past Sunday to check out Wonderworld. I'm surprised that this is the first time we've been there, especially since it's so close by. Tyler had fun riding the train and feeding the deer there and there was a lot of interesting history regarding the cave (the main attraction of Wonderworld), however, you won't see me rushing back. I received several stress-induced fever blisters immediately after leaving this place because I was feeling a little claustrophobic inside the cave and worried that a large rock, or worse.. the whole cave(!) would come crashing down on top of us! Crazy - I know. :-)
I am still LOVING my new camera! No, I'm not trying to pretend to be a professional photographer, but I'm so impressed with the camera capabilities and am proud of myself for figuring some of it out. I would have never taken these random pictures with my point and shoot cameras. I'm actually excited to start taking more pictures like this!
We attended a wedding for my boss' son at Mayfield Park. It's a really beautiful park with a lot of beautiful peacocks just roaming around. Excellent, free entertainment! Tyler really enjoyed the peacocks and if I had better shoes on, I could have probably stayed out there all day snapping pictures!
